Our Middle School Programs

School Year Programming (2:45pm - 5:30pm)
Programming for middle schoolers is where we got our start, and it remains a vital part of our mission.  Our program provides your youth (grades 6-8) with an exciting, challenging place to go after school.  While with us, your child will be involved in unique programs that stimulate them socially, emotionally and academically.

  • With a 1:10 staff to child ratio, you can know that your child will get plenty of personal attention.
  • Located at Christ the King Lutheran Church, we're just 2 blocks from Highview Middle School - within easy walking distance.
  • A healthy, daily snack and milk is provided to help fuel your child through the rest of their day.
  • We plan engaging educational activities, including group work and homework help, along with plenty of exercise and free time.

Youth get to choose the activities in which they want to participate, including gym games, pool, foosball, computer games, homework help, dsgf cooking, art projects, leadership training, theatre activities, service projects and much, much more.  The best part? It's all FREE! Bring a friend and come see what we’re all about!

Summer Fun 2012 starts here!
Ummm...isn't it too early to be thinking about this?  Absolutely not! We start planning our summer months ahead of time, making sure we have a location and many of the details worked out long before spring flowers start blooming.  Summers bring some of our wildest fun, and it takes some time to make that kind of fun happen!  We’d love to have you join us, so stay tuned here as we post our plans.  Our plans for Summer 2012 include the return of programs 5 days a week, Monday - Friday. Morning programs will also be returning, with drop-off times starting as early as 7:30am; afternoon programs run from 12:00pm until 5:30pm...a great match with summer school.

Just a few of our program features:

  • Daily lunch and snack
  • Twice-weekly field trips
  • Theme-based, age-appropriate enrichment activities
  • Daily outdoor activities (as weather permits)
  • Transportation to and from home or summer school for those who require it*
  • Lots of flexibility!

Each week features one day spent at Long Lake or Snail Lake Regional Park and at least one day on a fieldtrip to places like local fish & wildlife preserves, the MN Science Museum, Hugo Animal Farm and so much more! Our "on-site" (non-field trip) days are spent doing a variety of activities such as recreational games, arts and crafts, cooking and music lessons.  Your kids will have a blast!

Worried that our rates don't work with your budget?  There are many, many scholarships available for families, so give us a call!  Applying for your scholarship is really as easy as making a phone call (not tons of paperwork), and we work hard to make the program work for you and your budget.

**All Families...**

  • Can take advantage of our sibling discounts (20% off the regular weekly fee) - great for larger families.
  • Have access to limited, partial scholarships and our sliding scale.  Proof of income is required.  Please call to inquire about our sliding scale rates.
  • Ramsey County childcare is accepted.  Want more information about this?  Just give us a call!
We hope you'll consider joining us this upcoming summer as we plan to shatter the record for the most fun you can have in one day!
