Elementary School Programs
After School Blast!
During
the school year, CPY offers our "After School Blast", a wonderful
opportunity for your child to learn some new skills and make some new
friends in our safe, secure setting. This programming is:
- offered to students in grades K-5 from Sunnyside and Bel
Air Elementary schools.
- runs Monday through Friday from 3:15pm until 5:30pm.
- Offers free transportation from your child's school to
Christ the King Lutheran Church, where this exciting program takes
place.
During their time with us, your child will get to take regular trips to
the library, engage in lots of arts and crafts activities, go on nature
walks at Hansen Park, practice their cooking skills and so much
more! The cost is very reasonable - just $100 a month - and class
sizes are small, so check us out today! Just interested in
programming a few times a month, or even just on holidays? We also
offer drop-in after school programming for just $10/day.
Garden View
In addition to assisting at local schools, CPY also provides elementary
programming at Garden View for residents on Monday through
Friday from 3:30-5:30pm, including longer programming on most school
holidays. Our
program offers social activities (such as team building games),
tutoring opportunities, field trips to places like the Eagles' Nest and
Hansen Park, volunteering and lots
of recreational time. The cost is free, so if
you are a resident
of Garden View, come see what we have to offer!
Summer Fun 2012 starts here!
Kids just want to have fun...which works out great for us, because
that's what we want to do this summer, too. We’d
love to have you join us as we plan some wild new excursions for all
our kids this summer. We have programs available 5 days a week,
Monday - Friday.
Morning programs are returning, with drop-off times starting as early
as 7:30am; afternoon programs run
from 12:00pm until
5:30pm...a great match
with summer school.
Just a few of our program features:
- Daily lunch and snack
- Twice-weekly field trips
- Theme-based, age-appropriate enrichment activities
- Daily outdoor activities (as weather permits)
- Transportation to and from home or summer school for those
who require it*
- Lots of flexibility!
Each week features one day spent at Long Lake or Snail Lake
Regional Park
and at least one day on a fieldtrip to places like local fish &
wildlife
preserves, the MN Science Museum, Hugo Animal Farm and so much more!
Our
"on-site" (non-field trip) days are spent
doing a variety of activities such as recreational games, arts and
crafts,
cooking and music lessons. Your kids will have a blast!
Transportation
Just $12/week for transportation to/from home. Call for details!*
Worried that our rates
don't work with your budget? There are many, many
scholarships available for families like yours, so give us a
call! Applying for your scholarship is really as easy as making a
phone call (not tons of paperwork), and we work hard to make the
program work for you and your budget.
**All Families...**
- Can take advantage of our sibling discounts (20% off the
regular weekly fee) - great for larger families.
- Have access to limited, partial scholarships and our
sliding scale. Proof of income is required. Please call to
inquire about our sliding scale rates.
- Ramsey County childcare is accepted. Want more
information about this? Just give us a call!
*PLEASE NOTE that
additional transportation fees will apply for those who live outside
the 55112 area. Most youth are picked up within two blocks of
their home.
